This paper is to present changes in mechanical properties and structure of the material of components of a power station boiler after long-term annealing made of X10CrWMoVNb9-2 (P92) steel. The test sample was P92 steel in the form of a pipe with diameter of 160mm and wall thickness of 40mm after toughening. Mechanical properties and structure examinations were carried out on material in initial state and after long-lasting annealing up to 100 000h at 600 and 650°C. The microstructure has been observed using a scanning and transmission electron microscope. The mechanical properties and structure examinations of steel in initial state have confirmed that it meets the requirements for this steel in initial state. Long-term annealing at a temperature similar to the operating one as well as mechanical properties and structure examinations have enabled the effect of long-term impact of temperature on properties and structure of P92 steel to be evaluated. The presented method can be used for evaluation and qualification of structural changes in power station boiler components operating under creep conditions
