Treść
The purpose of the article is to present the psychological and social aspects of functioning people who become surrogate parents in old age. This special group is in particular life situation when they are repeating development tasks. Locating children in foster homes is a consequence of dysfunctional behaviour of their natural parents. Most often grandparents assume guardianship on their grandchildren because they feel responsible for them. It is not natural situation when ontogenetic role swapping take place. Therefore comes a question- what is the meaning of surrogate parenthood in old age for evaluating profits and loss in resources? Will it be the period of multiplying or reducing them? The results of own research have been presented in this article. They include differences in evaluating importance of resources as well as rating profits and loss in resources. Research group and research tools have been characterized. The article includes the conclusions of the study and their interpretation
