The aim of the paper is to present set of agricultural prac-tices proposed for polish agriculture to improve resources use effi-ciency by implementing innovative low carbon farming practices and promotion sustainable use of mineral fertilizers in frame of LCAgri project. In LCAgri project existent agricultural practices are evaluated under present climatic conditions and modeled using climatic scenarios for 2030 and 2050 time horizons. Greenhouse gas emission assessment (GHG EA) are performed for the fertili-zers in the life cycle on fertilizer production level for the factory and on the farm level for the representative group of farms (for presently used management practices) and for the experimental farms of IUNG-PIB (for recommended low carbon practices). GHG EA for the most promising practices are verified with regard to field measurements. Additionally, technical and economic effi-ciency of low carbon practices are assessed, in terms of adaptation to climate changes. The essential element of the project is the im-plementation of most effective mitigation practices by 8 experi-mental farms of IUNG-PIB presented in detail in the paper. The results of the studies is intend to use for programming climatic activities of Common Agricultural Policy in Poland and for the development of GHG EA methodology of National System of GHG Emission and Inventory.
