Treść
The aim of the presented works is to develop a next generation anti-blast and fragment-proof protective suit, designed to provide the personal protection to bomb-disposal experts during their direct operations linked to the explosive devices neutralization. The suit should provide maximum protection against the four basic factors present during an explosion (fragments, overpressure, heat and shockwave). The developed suit is assumed to be a significantly improved product, with a level of protection to exceed the solutions currently available on both domestic and international market. The protective suit will be consisted of jacket with the protective collar, adjustable trousers with braces, foot protectors, integrated protective panels (ballistic protectors for legs, groin, trunk and neck of a wearer), constituting the construction modules compatible with each other, to be used depending on the potential threat and needs of the end user [1]. The protective suit will provide balanced protection against conventional hazards of the explosion. The suit design will provide the wearer with freedom of movement, thermal comfort and allow for easy putting it on and taking off. Concerning the fragment-resistance, the suit will provide protection against penetration with 1.1g FSP.22 and 2.84g FSP.30 type fragments.
