Smog is an unnatural atmospheric phenomenon. Within the temperate climate zone, mostly the London type smog occurs, which includes i.a. nitric oxides (NxOy), sulphur oxide (IV) (SO2), carbon oxides, soot and slowly falling dusts (PM). To provide the effective protection of the upper respiratory tract from the destructive influence of smog - air and exhaust fumes, the anti-smog half-masks are applied, which improves the comfort of work as well as everyday life.
The presented anti-smog half-mask features two-part design and takes advantage of a removable filter cartridge. It is also equipped with two valves that facilitate the air exhalation, which significantly increases the comfort of use. Protection class two - FFP2 - protects the respiratory system against aerosols, provided their concentration of the dispersed phase does not exceed ten times the maximum admissible concentration. (10xNDS according to Journal of Laws 2014 item 817). The anti-smog filtering half-mask is also used to protect the respiratory system from inhaling nuisance dust associated with the smog phenomenon and effectively filters dust particles with a diameter smaller than 2.5 μm. The design of the half-mask facilitates easy breathing, which makes it useful in everyday use. The use of an antismog half-mask is recommended even in the short-term stay in an environment where the permissible smog standards are exceeded.
